What venues are available in the Fargo/Moorhead area?
During the summer months there are many different local parks that provide beautiful backdrops for a wedding ceremony. Check with local park districts for reservation information.
In addition, many local hotels have banquet/meeting rooms that can be reserved for a wedding ceremony and/or reception. Many local restaurants have private rooms that can be reserved for any occasion.

Where and how do I go about getting a marriage license?
Marriage licenses are based upon the location where the ceremony is actually taking place. It is not based on where you are a resident.
If you are getting married in North Dakota, Then you will need a North Dakota marriage license. For marriage licenses in North Dakota, there is no waiting period to get your license. They are good for a period of 60 days, and cost $65.00. Licenses can be obtained at your county courthouse.
If you are getting married in Minnesota, then you will need a Minnesota marriage license. For marriage licenses in Minnesota, they are good for a period of six months, and cost $115.00. Licenses can be obtained at your county courthouse.
When you apply in either state you will need to have photo identification, social security number, and certified copy of divorce papers or death certificate if you have been previously married.
